Enoch Chan has developed a multifaceted career in dance and theatre. In 2006 he received the Metro DC Dance Award for Best Lighting Design, and was nominated again in 2007. He has served in roles as lighting designer and master electrician of Classika Theatre and Metropolitan Fine Arts Center and currently teaches lighting design for the dance department at University of Maryland, Baltimore County. He also has spent time as stage combat choreographer for Alexandria theatre productions, theatre director for Poetics Theatre, and has served as passionate dance photographer for many Baltimore/Washington area companies, including Baltimore Dance Project, Deborah Riley Dance Projects, Dance Africa, Tappers with Attitude, and BosmaDance. Chan graduated from Boston University with a BA in Art History and a BFA in Theatre, where he choreographed and directed numerous productions with a flair for merging Eastern and Western aesthetics. In 2007 he and Kimmie began focusing on the creation of DEVIATED THEATRE, which debuted in 2008. |
